Child Protection Team

The Center offers forensic medical exams and follow-up care on a 24/7 basis in our child friendly exam area.

Exams are preformed by our on-staff ARNP, Karyn Walker, who has completed specialized training in this area. Our Medical Director, Dr. Oludapo Soremi, is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Hospitalist with the Central Florida Health Alliance.

Currently the University of Florida Child Protection Team, based in Gainesville, provides supervision for the medical exams given at our CAC. In early 2010, we will operate independently as the Lake Sumter Child Protection Team.
