In May, Altrusa International of Lake County presented us with a new picnic table for our outdoor play area. This gift will be used for outdoor counseling sessions.

Altrusa International, which was founded in 1917 for business and professional women, is a network of executives and professionals in diversified career classifications, dedicated to improving their communities by personal service. Through their local clubs, which are now open to both men and women, members unite their varied talents in service to others. Altrusa is recognized internationally for the significant contributions of its clubs and members.

Altrusa International of Lake County is involved in club projects focusing on Domestic Violence, Literacy, and Scholarships for women needing further education and/or training to enter or re-enter the workforce.
