Available for Presentations

Our staff is available to make presentations on abuse prevention to schools, church groups and daycare facilities.

  • Good Touch/Bad Touch is an abuse prevention program presented to children age 3 and older. The program utilizes age appropriate discussion and a coloring book for reinforcement of the discussion.
  • Internet Safety is a prevention program that we offer for children in grades 1 through 8. This training teaches children how to be safe on the internet and avoid online predators.

Multidisciplinary Team

Our Multidisciplinary Team is made up of collaborating agency representatives who work together to facilitate the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child victims of abuse. The Team consists of representatives from the State Attorney's Office, Law Enforcement, the Department of Children and Families, Lake and Sumter County School Systems, the Department of Health and the Children's Advocacy Center. Multidisciplinary Team Staffings are held monthly to discuss cases and to ensure that the needs of the child victims are being met and that no child is "falling through the cracks."
