Thank You LRMC Medical Staff
The Board of Directors and staff of the Lake Sumter Children's Advocacy Center would like to extend our sincere thanks to the LRMC Medical Staff for their generous donation which allowed us to purchase the adjoining property for future expansion. It is our hope to be able to construct a building to be used exclusively for counseling physically and/or sexually abused children.

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser was a Success, from The Villages Daily Sun
More than 300 people attended a pancake breakfast fundraiser Saturady at R.J. Gator's at Lake Sumter Landing. Proceeds from the $5-per-ticket fundraiser went to Lake Sumter Children's Advocacy Center. The donation from the event help the battle against the alarming rise in abuse cases, which has increased 33% over the past year. Read the entire article

Child Protection Team Update
As we approach our first anniversary of having the contract (April 1, 2011), we have already experienced remarkable growth. Our CPT staff now includes a full-time ARNP, a part-time ARNP, Medical Director, Team Coordinator, three Case Coordinators, Intake Specialist and Data Entry specialist. Our CPT staff is involved in extensive training for Law Enforcement, the Department of Children and Families, the Emergency Room staff at LRMC, The Villages Hospital, Waterman Hospital and South Lake Hospital. Thank You 2010 Christmas Party Volunteers
Our annual Christmas Party is a time for clients and their families to greet Santa Claus, eat pizza and open Christmas gifts. This is made possible by all of the individuals and businesses who donate toys, giftcards and financial contributions and all the volunteers who help us get ready.
